This is my favorite, it's from Boston C&C this past summer. I've always fantasized about the first-gen vanquish, and this car was the first one I ever saw in-person.

And for a picture, the Manic GT.

This is a real deal honest to goodness, fully bomb proof MRAP. It had a custom plate "TONSFUN" so I guess whoever was driving this was doing it just for shits and giggles. Or they're really paranoid.

The guy on the lawnmower was pulling a George Jones and on the Toyota pickup, look at the seats. Also, the VW truck pic got ruined because my potato turned it's flash on.

Here's my Grandmother's Silverado. Up until last year, it had under 25k miles on it. She recently had lasic, so she's driven it a bit more.

Aaaaaaaand there's literally too many to choose from...
Not making an appearance because I'm too lazy: 250 GTO, Muira, 917, Bugattis, other assorted beautiful things.
I miss going to car shows...

I keep most of mine in a Dropbox folder, so my actual on-device selection is more limited than I'd like. Still, I'm having trouble deciding... Here are the candidates for 'coolest picture from the Internet':
'Coolest picture I actually took' is, thankfully, a good deal simpler, as I've only had one opportunity to take a picture of a genuinely cool car since I last deleted stuff:
(There's a mildly entertaining story to go along with the Jag.)

I would say my neighborhood is pretty jalop as a whole.
Golf R32, 1988 Scirroco GTI manual, and an old Audi Wagon also manual.
My other neighbor's daily
Same house as the first picture. Same R32, 2008 CLS 63 AMG, and in the garage there is a Jetta Sportwagen TDi, not sure if manual. There's a few 911's. And a whole bunch of other somewhat interesting things.

One of my favorite wedges. 308 or 328 right? I know almost nothing about italian cars but the idea of a gated shifter, those looks, and a little V8 screaming away behind my ear has always sounded great

My suburb and general surrounding area is mostly beigie though. There's a good collection of cars a soccer mom/trophy wife likes. Soccer daddies usually drive something German or a Tesla.

I've never seen anything in manufacturer camo, let alone something that cool!! I think you win.
![]() 01/14/2015 at 18:45 |
|
aaah ok, now I know! the 420 looks like the Xs more refined cousin. I kind of like the strange proportions of the X though.
![]() 01/14/2015 at 18:49 |
|
gotcha, yeah anything within a national park/state forest is a PITA to find on google maps, been there
![]() 01/14/2015 at 18:51 |

I prefer the X as well. Its side profile reminds of the streamlined American cars of the 40s.
![]() 01/14/2015 at 18:51 |
|
I think it wanted to eat everything else in the parking lot too. No cars anywhere near it. It was also some sort of special edition.
![]() 01/14/2015 at 18:56 |
|
yeahhhh sounds like my area too, though I have to say at least there are cool german sedans around here - where I went to college it was farm/hippie academic land where spending money on cars is the devil lol. was great for the 420 tho hehe.
![]() 01/14/2015 at 18:56 |

It made a good noise for an oil burning 302. Its since been displaced by a mild 351C. And a four speed. And a locker.
![]() 01/14/2015 at 18:59 |
|
Thanks, we spent months on deciding on the color.
![]() 01/14/2015 at 18:59 |
|
exactly!! streamlined, but almost in an exaggerated jetsons way. One of my ultimate car fantasies is to put an MKX on slightly lower suspension and hotrod it with a manual transmission, and an oversized, built straight six. nothing to the exterior other than some wider period racing wheels. now that would be silly.
![]() 01/14/2015 at 19:00 |
|
yeah, it was through wickedcampers.co.nz (NSFW.. I'm not kidding, they ran a promo a while ago for people to take nude pictures of themselves with the vehicles)
camping/driving yourself is the best way to see New Zealand. The roads are so amazing. the next plan is to head back with my mates and do a motorbike tour.
![]() 01/14/2015 at 19:01 |

yeah I think that's an ACR, those are rare
![]() 01/14/2015 at 19:03 |

It does look good lowered, like the sort of thing you would find cruising around Cuba.
![]() 01/14/2015 at 19:05 |

I bet that sounds good too!
![]() 01/14/2015 at 19:06 |

sounds like heaven. I feel like if you're into cars/bikes, driving yourself around is always the most fun option when traveling.

hnnnnggggg suspicions confirmed. the owner's taste is... interesting ...but the lines still impress

It does, but the rad was plugged. Didnt run for long before we had to shut it off to keep it from killing itself.

I think that picture might have actually been from Japanese Car Day a the Larz Anderson Museum. They do have C&C about once a month (when the weather is better). They're usually pretty good. I go to the ones that Herb Chambers has. Is that where you took that picture (I'm thinking it's the one off Route 1)? Or is there a third Boston-area C&C that I don't know about?
![]() 01/14/2015 at 21:29 |

It is a Bizzarrini 5300 GT Strada. VERY pretty car.
